Mes de Marzo

The month of March has come and gone. It seems like yesterday I was still enjoying the sun and adventure of Brasil. The month in Buenos Aires has not been too eventful. As I was fortunate to move into an amazzzzing apartment for a month, I stayed in a very quant neighborhood in an apartment of an artist. One side was her house, and he other side was my apartment with a HUGE room (that was originally an art studio) with very high ceilings. Of coarse there was a nice little kitchen and eating area to coinside with the bedroom. Not only was this a one in a kind apartment it was also its own little haven from teh big city. as i walked down a narrow courtyard, i arrived in my own little villa. One would not imagine this being in Buenos Aires. It was quite a confortable month in the apartment as I was able to get back to my passion for hosting delightful dinner for friends. One such dinner included a taco night in which about 20 of my friends (from over 10 countries) came for tacos! Other happenings of the month included a visit to the Japonese garden, Salsa adventures at the Colombian boliche and so on.

At this point I have been in South America for almost 8 months. I am starting to feel very situated and comfortable. As my spanish is always improving, I strive on becoming more and more bilingual and speaking without thinking. At this point I am no where near coming back to the United States. I feel like there is so much more to learn, do, and experience!
